This is based on a quote by motivational speaker Les Brown. Soon after hearing his words I saw a shooting star and then a view of the universe from an internet link to the Hubble Space Telescope. Combine all of these and get My Shooting Star....I hope my wish comes true!

Last night I saw a shooting star,
A blazing streak, it went so far
First past Venus, then past Mars.
I hardly even saw it. 

Some things seem just happen chance,
The timing’s right or circumstance.
Like shooting stars on second glance
I’m lucky that I caught it. 

            Who am I? Who are you? How did we get in this place?
            Seems to me, just that we are specs out here in space. 

My shooting star, it dropped too fast
Like times remembered from my past.
I didn’t even get a chance
To make my wish upon it. 

That in all you dream, and all you do,
When you leap shoot for the moon
And if you miss I hope that you
Will land up in the stars.
And when you leap shoot for the moon
I hope you land in the stars.
