Singer/songwriter David Roth blends a bit of Dan Fogelberg, David Letterman, Will Rogers and a touch of James Taylor-meets-Jerry Seinfeld in his highly original, sometimes hilarious and always though-provoking award-winning music. Recognized as an exceptional performer, David has gained national attention for his unique songs, moving stories, and creative guitar artistry.

Christine Lavin says, "David writes and sings songs with a devastating combination of heartfelt wisdom and incisive wit. In my eyes he sets a new 'contemporary singer/songwriter' standard for the rest of us to aspire to, and it's a standard that is very, very high."

He emerged from a nationwide field of several hundred songwriters to open the 1987 Kerrville Folk Festival as its New Folk winner. Also, he was a winner of the 1996 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's "Most Wanted" competition. He as twice sung the national anthem for the NBA's Jordan-Era Bulls. He performed at the 40th Anniversary of the United Nations in New York and his "Rising in Love" was performed at the 100th Anniversary of Carnegie Hall. Two of his songs, "Manuel Garcia: and "Nine Gold Medals" (songs based on true stories) both appear in the best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and "May the Light of Love' in the classic folk song book Rise Up Singing. David has often been cited for his entertaining stage presence and powerful singing and subject matter. Eighth Step Coffeehouse in Albany NY says, "An astoundingly gorgeous show...a night of laughter and tears."
